Dr. Frank Beglin, DDS
Education and Experience
Dr. Frank Beglin attended the University of California at Berkeley, receiving a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition. He next attended The Ohio State University, where he was awarded his Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS) in 1991.
Dr. Beglin then completed a rigorous one-year General Practice Residency at the Veterans Hospital in San Francisco; he remained in San Francisco, practicing family dentistry for two years.
Dr. Beglin next applied and returned to The Ohio State University, where he undertook a three-year Orthodontic Residency. He completed the program in 1997, with his Specialty Certificate in Orthodontics and Master of Science (MS). Since completing his certificate, he has limited his practice to orthodontics.
Dr. Beglin’s Master’s thesis received an award of special merit in a national competition sponsored by the American Association of Orthodontists; it was published in the prestigious Journal of the American Association of Orthodontists.
In September of 2005, Dr. Beglin moved to Carson City to join Dr. John Coombs, forming Coombs & Beglin Orthodontics. The two doctors practiced together for several years, continuing the tradition of excellent, patient-centered care that Dr. Coombs had offered for more than 30 years.
Dr. Beglin assumed ownership and management of the practice, now called Beglin Orthodontics, in 2012.

Currently, Dr. Beglin is actively involved in the leadership of the:
- American Association of Orthodontists
- Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists, Past-President
- Nevada Orthodontic Society
- Northern Nevada Dental Society
Additionally, he is a member in good standing of the:
- American Dental Association
- Nevada Dental Association
Dr. Beglin is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics and successfully passed the challenging recertification examination in 2010.
Beyond Orthodontics
When he’s not crafting beautiful smiles, or studying the latest orthodontic research, Dr. Beglin loves time with his wife Emily and their two daughters, Jill and Karen. His favorite recreational activity is cycling, though he also enjoys skiing, hiking, fishing, camping, golfing, and traveling.
